Terms
For the Wondria website and the Wondria app. Last updated: [[EFFECTIVE_DATE]]
The short version
- Part A covers this website. Part B covers the Wondria app and the Family plan.
- Only a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over, living in the UK, can create an account. Children use Wondria through profiles their parent sets up.
- A new family starts with a free 7-day trial. A card is needed to start it, and nothing is charged if you cancel before it ends. After that, your plan is billed monthly or yearly, and you can cancel at any time.
- Spark is a computer program. It can make mistakes, and it does not replace the adults around a child.
- Nothing here takes away your rights as a consumer.

Part A: Using the website
2. These terms
By using this website you agree to Part A. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
3. About Wondria
Wondria is new. Features, safety measures, prices and availability may change, and some features described on this website may not be available yet. Nothing on the website is in itself an offer to sell: the terms for using the app are in Part B, and you agree to them when you create an account.
Pictures of Spark’s screens and of the parent dashboard are illustrations. Names used in them, such as a child’s name, are made up.
4. Information on this website
We work to keep the website accurate and up to date, but it is for general information only. It is not educational, medical, legal or safeguarding advice. If you are worried about a child’s safety or wellbeing, contact a professional: in an emergency call 999, and for advice about a child the NSPCC Helpline is 0808 800 5000.
5. Using the website
You may view, print and share pages for your own, non-commercial use. You must not:
- use the website in a way that breaks the law, or for anything fraudulent or harmful
- try to gain unauthorised access to the website or the systems behind it, or interfere with how it works
- introduce viruses or other harmful code
- copy the website’s content in bulk, including by automated means, except as search engines normally do to index it
- suggest that we are connected with, or endorse, you or anything else when we are not
We may change, suspend or withdraw the website, or any part of it, at any time.
6. Links
You are welcome to link to our home page, as long as you do so fairly and do not suggest that we endorse you. Where the website or the app links to other websites, those links are for your information. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for them.
Part B: Using the Wondria app
Part B is the agreement between you and us when you create a Wondria account. Please read it before you sign up. You can save or print this page.
7. Who can have an account
- You must be 18 or over, live in the UK, and be the parent or legal guardian of each child you add.
- A family has one account holder and up to three children. Wondria is made for children aged 7 to 12.
- Only you can create, change or delete your children’s profiles and the rules that apply to them.
- Keep your password to yourself. Do not let your child sign in to the parent area, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
- You are responsible for setting rules that suit your child, and for the device your child uses.
8. The free trial and the plans
- A new family starts with a free trial of 7 days. A family can have one free trial. You add a card to start it, and nothing is charged during the trial.
- Families invited from our early-access list get a free trial of 15 days instead of 7. This applies only to early-access families.
- Three days before the trial ends, we email you the date it ends, the price you will pay and how to cancel. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your plan starts and the first payment is taken.
- There are two plans: One child and Family (up to three children), each paid monthly or yearly, in advance. A year costs the same as ten months. Prices including VAT: One child £11.99 a month or £119.88 a year; Family £21.59 a month or £215.88 a year. The Plan page always shows the price you will pay before you pay it.
- Payment is taken by our payment provider. We never see or store your card details.
- We will tell you by email at least 30 days before a price change takes effect. If you do not want to pay the new price, you can cancel before it applies.
- If the trial ends or a payment fails, your child will see a screen asking them to talk to you, and you will be shown how to subscribe. Your child’s data is kept as our privacy notice describes.
9. Cancelling
- You can cancel at any time from the Plan page, or by emailing info@wondria.ai. Cancelling during the free trial means you pay nothing.
- When you cancel a paid plan, you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and you can change your mind and resume before then. We do not refund part periods, except where the law requires it.
- Your right to change your mind. [[The statutory cancellation periods and the refund policy for a cancelled yearly plan: to be confirmed by legal review before memberships open (ADR 0009)]]
- You can also delete your account in the app at any time. Deleting it ends your subscription and deletes your family’s data, as our privacy notice explains.
10. What Spark is, and what it is not
- Spark is a learning tool that uses AI. It helps children think through questions and homework, and gives hints before solutions. It is a computer program: it can make mistakes, and its answers should be checked.
- Every reply is checked automatically before your child sees it. No check is perfect, so please talk with your child about what they use Spark for. You can report anything that seems wrong by emailing us.
- Spark does not replace a parent, a teacher or professional advice. Your child’s school may have its own rules about using AI for homework, and it is up to you and your child to follow them.
- Wondria is not an emergency or counselling service, and nobody watches conversations as they happen. If a child may be at risk, trained staff may read the conversation concerned and may contact you or the appropriate authorities, as our privacy notice explains.
11. The rules you set
Time limits, bedtime, feature switches and approvals are checked by our servers on every request your child makes. If something stops a rule working as it should, we will put it right as quickly as we can. Rules do not replace supervision.
12. Using the app fairly
You must not, and must not let anyone else:
- create a profile for a child you are not the parent or legal guardian of, or for someone outside the age range Wondria is made for
- share an account between families
- try to get around the safety checks or the rules, or to make Spark produce harmful content
- try to gain unauthorised access to the app or the systems behind it, or interfere with how it works
- copy, resell or build a competing service from the app or its content
13. Suspending or closing an account
We may suspend an account, or a child’s profile, if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken, or where we need to in order to protect a child. Unless it would put a child at risk or the law prevents it, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. If we close an account for a serious breach, we will refund any payment for time you have not used.
We may also close the service as a whole. If we do, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice and refund any payment for time you have not used.
14. Changes to the app and to these terms
We will keep improving Wondria, so the app will change over time. If we make a change that significantly affects how you or your child use it, or change Part B in a way that matters to you, we will email you before the change takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel before it applies.
15. Our responsibility to you
We will provide the app with reasonable care and skill. If it is not as described in these terms, tell us and we will try to put it right. If we cannot, you may be entitled to a price reduction or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or our negligence. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, or for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.
General
16. Our content and brand
The text, design, illustrations, logos and other content of the website and the app belong to us or to the people who have licensed them to us. Wondria, Spark, WondReason, WondTrust, WondGuard and WondBalance are names we use for our products, and you must not use them, or our logos, in a way that could confuse people about who provides a product or service.
The fonts we use, Shantell Sans and Nunito, are used under the SIL Open Font License.
17. Rights we do not limit
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for anything else that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer.
Wondria is for domestic and private use. If you use it for business, we are not liable for any loss of profit, business, revenue or opportunity.
18. Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you can also bring proceedings in Scotland, and if you live in Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland.
19. Contact and complaints
If you have a question or a complaint, email info@wondria.ai. We will acknowledge it within 2 working days. Concerns about a child’s safety are always treated as urgent.
